PUPPY PREPARATION
Please browse our website to see what makes our doodles so special. Take the time to look at pictures of our dogs to narrow down your choice in size, gender, coat type and colour preferences. Also look at our parent dogs as that will give you an idea of what your puppy will grow up to look like. We have some great videos as well, that are worth watching and after that we are always available to chat with you about this very important decision. Once you have narrowed down your choice you can fill out our application. When your application is accepted we will contact you by email or phone.

MINIATURE VS PETITE GOLDENDOODLE?
The petite goldendoodle is smaller and lighter in body than the mini. Usually petites weigh between 12-22lbs and range from 10-16 inches at the shoulder. The petites are an excellent size for people wanting to scoop a dog up in their arms or those that travel by air and need a dog to fit in a crate under the seat. They also are a great size for condo or apartment living. Although they are smaller than the minis, they are very athletic, active and high energy little dogs.
Our miniature’s are similar to the petites but are a little bigger. Not always in height but definitely in body weight. They are more substantial and can weigh in between 18-30lbs and are usually 16-20 inches at the shoulder. Many people like this size as it is not too small or too big. They make an excellent fit for any family.
PUPPY WAITLISTS
Families are put on our waitlist in order of deposits received. Please be aware that breeders choice on any litter will always be the first choice. Our wait times can vary depending on the availability of puppies and your specifications for a particular size, colour, coat type or parents. We usually have a good idea of what our upcoming litters will be, but we cannot always guarantee what a given litter may produce. An example of this may be a rarer colour that will involve a long wait time. Our average wait times are 4-6 months if puppies are not available. After we receive your deposit we will contact you to talk about making the best choice for your upcoming puppy. We do our best to match puppies with the needs of upcoming families, and at the same time, we like to ensure our puppies are going to responsible families. On that note, we often have a say on which puppy will be best suited for your family. All in all, we have great success in placing our puppies. Once they are in their home it is highly recommended that you continue with proper socialization and training.
DEPOSIT & DEFERRAL PROCESS
DEPOSITS When placing a deposit on an MC Doodle puppy we would like to remind you that your $200 deposit is non-refundable. We take great pride in our process to ensure your family gets their best suited partner. This takes a large contribution of time and we take that part of the job very seriously, we also expect our customers to have full commitment when moving forward to our waitlist. When filling out the application, we ask your preference of gender and colour, however this can never be guaranteed, as it is stated as so, a “preference”. As deposits are placed on future litters, if you are closer to the top of the list, then you will have a better choice to fulfill your original request. However, the lower on the list you are, means you could potentially not have your desired preference in terms of gender or colour. We acknowledge that sometimes these requests are important to you, but we do encourage our clients to be open minded, and to allow us to assist you on matching a puppy to your family based primarily on personality/temperament. We assure you, there are NO bad picks, male vs. female, dark vs. light., our main goal is to provide our puppies to loving homes and to provide a life long companion to our clients. DEFERRALS We are limiting each deposit to ONE deferral in the event your specific request has not been met with the spot you have reserved. Deferrals will be placed behind the deposits currently on our reservation lists. When deferring, wait times may vary but please expect to wait 6-12months. Example of deferral/bumping: Lilly X Levi Waitlist #1 Logan #2 Karen #3 Adam #4 Christine #5 Penny Christine is number 4 on Lilly’s list and wants to defer her reservation because she really wanted a female and there are none available. Christine then defers her deposit to a future list, waiting approximately 6-12 months. Penny bumps forward to number 4 on Lilly’s list which opens a spot for a previously ‘bumped’ reservation. There is also a possibility of being bumped forward in your pick should someone on the list choose to defer their deposit.
WHEN IS MY PUPPY READY TO GO HOME?
Our puppies are ready for their new families between 7-8 weeks. A board-certified Veterinarian gives all our puppies a thorough health examination, their first puppy boosters and stool samples are checked as well. Puppies are also microchipped and given a puppy grooming on the day they go home. We also send all our future puppy families detailed information and educational documents to help prepare for the new addition. We will contact you when we have set dates for puppy pickups. If you cannot pick up your puppy on our scheduled pick up date there is an extra charge for boarding which is 30.00/day.
DO WE SHIP OUR PUPPIES?
We have many families that are not local or live out of province. We always prefer it if you can come in person to pick up your puppy, that way we have the pleasure of meeting in person. Puppies can then travel with you in the plane in a crate that will fit under your seat. We are happy to meet you at the airport with your puppy if this helps with travel plans. For our Southern Ontario clients, we will offer delivery services to Parry Sound or Barrie for a minimal fee. Please note that this service must be pre-arranged and is not always available, depending on time of year.
HOW TO MAKE A PAYMENT
Cash in person, or E-Transfer is our accepted methods of payment. The full balance owing on your puppy is due a week before pick up.
LIFE HAPPENS
If the timing is not right and you cannot take your puppy home at 8 weeks, your deposit can be deferred and you can be placed back on the wait list at the bottom of the next available litter of your choice.
